Version platform-2026-10-07 · As of 2026-10-07
The German version is legally binding.
Scope and operator
These terms of use apply to the use of the marketplace “RC & Scale Modeling Marketplace”. The operator is CompAs-IT, owner Patrick Münster.
The operator’s mandatory information is provided in the legal notice / provider information.
The payment and buyer protection terms apply in addition.
Role of the platform
The marketplace is aimed at private sellers and buyers of RC models and related hobby areas. The platform brokers contact between buyer and seller and provides listings.
The purchase contract is concluded exclusively between buyer and seller.
For a purchase via “Buy” (reservation), the platform does not process payments and does not hold funds.
Account
An account can only be used once the email address has been confirmed and the account check has been completed.
Anyone who publishes a sales listing must provide a date of birth and be at least 18 years old. The seller confirms with the sales listing that they act as a private person.
Listings
Posting sales listings and wanted ads is currently free of charge. A sales listing covers a single item. Price types are fixed price, negotiable (VB) and, for wanted ads, a budget or desired price.
New and materially changed listings are checked automatically. Conspicuous listings are reviewed manually and are not public until approved. A reason is given for rejections.
Sold listings remain reachable at their address as “no longer available” for 90 days.
Wanted ads cannot be bought or reserved.
Messages and contact protection
Communication between users takes place through the platform’s internal messaging system. A chat belongs to a listing. Images can be sent in the chat, but no other file attachments. Sent messages cannot be edited or deleted.
As long as a listing is not unlocked, chat texts and chat images are checked for email addresses, phone numbers, external links and other ways of making contact. Messages with detected contact details are not delivered.
On the fifth consecutive contact violation, the buyer is blocked for the listing concerned: the chat for this listing becomes read-only for both sides, and new price offers and purchase attempts by this buyer for the listing are blocked. On the fifth consecutive contact violation by the seller, the chat concerned becomes read-only for both sides. Such a block remains in place until an administrator lifts it.
If a listing is unlocked, the automatic contact and content check no longer applies to all chats for this listing; technical checks of uploads (for example file type and size) remain. Contact and payment information may then be exchanged. It is recommended to continue further communication in the RCMM chat, because it documents the history.
Unlocking lifts a chat block for this listing. A block on the buyer for the listing remains until an administrator removes it.
Buying and reservation
With “Buy”, an active listing is reserved immediately for exactly this buyer. Another buyer cannot reserve it at the same time. No payment is made on the platform in the process.
With the reservation, the buyer confirms the terms of use and the payment and buyer protection terms in their current version. The version is stored.
The reservation does not expire automatically. The seller can cancel it, and the buyer can withdraw it. The listing is then active again.
The seller is reminded of the open reservation 2 days after the reservation and weekly thereafter. Reminders pause while a seller’s report is waiting for the buyer’s response.
While a listing is reserved, its price cannot be changed. The seller must cancel the reservation first.
Commission and unlocking
The seller pays a commission for unlocking a listing. It is currently 7 % of the actually agreed item price, at least 5 EUR and at most 75 EUR. For an accepted price offer, the accepted price applies; otherwise the listing price. Shipping costs are not commission-relevant. The fee parameters are configurable.
For a purchase via reservation, the commission is paid manually; details are set out in the payment and buyer protection terms.
Only an administrator of the platform confirms receipt of payment and triggers the unlocking. Only then is the listing unlocked. The first unlocking is only possible for a reserved listing and requires that the confirmed amount is at least the commission.
The unlocking applies permanently to the listing unless it becomes invalid because of a price increase. If a reservation is cancelled before approval, no unlocking arises.
An unlocked listing shows the seller’s profile name (the first name if none is set), carries the label “Unlocked” and is given preferential treatment in text search. There is no entitlement to a particular position. Other private contact fields such as email address, phone number or postal address are not published in the listing.
If the purchase does not go ahead after unlocking and the reservation is cancelled, the unlocking remains. An amount already paid is therefore not refunded automatically and is not requested again for the same covered price level.
Price changes for unlocked listings
If the price of a listing with a permanent unlocking is lowered, the unlocking remains. There is no refund solely because of the price reduction.
If the price is raised, the commission for the new price is calculated and the commission amount already covered is credited; the total covered amount always applies, also for several increases. If this results in a positive difference, the permanent unlocking becomes invalid, the seller is informed and can pay the difference. After the payment is confirmed, an administrator must approve the listing again.
If, on an increase, the commission is already exactly at the upper or lower limit, no additional payment is required and the unlocking remains.
An active Premium membership is not affected by a price increase; it remains independent of the listing-specific unlock.
Completing the sale
The buyer can report “sale completed” without any waiting period. The seller can agree or decline. On agreement, the listing counts as sold; on decline, it remains reserved and the buyer can report again. There is no deadline for the seller’s response.
The seller can report “sold” once at least 72 hours (3 days) have passed since the last delivered chat message for this listing and this buyer. Messages from both sides count. If there is no delivered chat message, the report is not possible.
After the seller’s report, the buyer has 72 hours (3 days) to respond. On agreement, the listing counts as sold; on decline, it remains reserved. If the buyer does not respond within the period, the sale is completed automatically. Automatic completion only takes place after an active report by the seller, never solely because of inactivity in the chat.
If the other side also reports completion while a report is open, this counts as agreement. Reports and responses are stored and not deleted.
Duties of users
Users must not circumvent the contact protection. As long as a listing is not unlocked, no contact details such as email addresses, phone numbers or external links may be exchanged in the chats for this listing.
Listings are checked for, among other things, contact details and links, requests for payments outside the platform, suspicious wording, prohibited items, problematic content, spam and duplicate patterns, conspicuous prices and contact details in images. Listings that do not pass this check are not published.
Suspension
Moderators can suspend users temporarily or permanently. Rejections and suspensions state an understandable reason. How a suspension affects ongoing purchases and sales is controlled by administrators or moderators; processes can be continued or frozen.
Blocks for contact violations in the chat are described in the section “Messages and contact protection”.
Version and changes
These terms carry a version identifier and a date. With every reservation, agreement to the current version is required and the version is stored.
Language
The German version is legally binding.
